How the Program Works
The after school program focuses on four different parts to enable the students to excel in their school work and strive to become mentors themselves. ... intro
Students in Forms 1-4 will attend academic support sessions in four key subject areas: Kiswahili, Civics, English, and Mathematics. These subject areas were selected for more targeted student support due to policies in place which penalize students’ overall Form results in the event they fail any of the aforementioned subjects.
In order to prepare Form 2 and Form 4 students for high-stakes national exams, subject-specific instructors will actively engage students in test-preparation strategies sessions as part of their weekly lessons.
In order to ensure students remain engaged and enjoy The School Fund community of which they are a part, it is important to establish a culture in which students feel supported and accepted by their peers and mentors.
Select Advanced students will be trained to lead technological training with other students. The role of peer technology ambassadors is to support other TSF students with further technology use. Technology will be used to support academic work, check and answer email messages, and journal on the TSF website.
